Hyde Park - Tesla - Chepstow - Metallica
Gig 190 was at Hyde Park. The weather was spitting most of the day until layer when it pissed down!
First band was Mcqueen a 4 piece girly band they were ok. We stayed in the big top for Black Stone Cherry.The tent was packed .Quite a buzz on them (ta Nige) and they are a combination of Motorhead, Sabbath and Skynyrd. They came on and just exploded - 30 mins on stun .Fab.
Went outside to the mainstage to see The Answer who got a great reception and were very good. Quickly back to the tent for the end of Fastway with Toby Jepson on vox. They went down very well.
Next Rosehill Drive who are a Sabbathy 3 piece who played Fairies Wear Boots by Sabbath. Out for some grub in the pouring rain and heard 4 Chris Cornell songs then back to the tent for Joe Satriani. Couldn't get in but got a good place outside to see and hear him .Very good back for last Cornell song then Aerosmith, who were a little dissappointing if I am honest.
Came on 20 mins late then complained there was a curfew.Too many ballads but for the classics very good just not enough of them.

Gig 191 was at Shepherds Bush for Tesla's first UK gig in 15 years. Mcqueen again first then Diamond Head .Two newies one of the last cd then It's Electric, Lightning to the Nations and Am I evil? Very good.
Tesla were stunning.The crowd were nuts and word perfect.1hr 50 mins just a great night.Back in the Fall so go see!

Gig 192 was at Chepstow Castle 3 days later. Rattlesnake Remedy first. Motorhead, Thunder with Spike from the Quireboys on vox.Not bad. Toby Jepson next. 3 Little Angels numbers included in an hour set.Very good.During his set he mentioned the weather until then showers from now on it was torrential.
Thunder next who played 1hr 45 in terrible conditions.3000 didn't care though.We did the Danny Bowes work out and by the end it was Glastonbury like.A waterfall behind the sound desk.Great gig.

Gig 193 was at Wembley Stadium .What a place I can tell you. £25 to park the car!!!

The venue is stunning though .Mastodon sounded like a spin dryer on fast!
Machine Head were great but Him were bottled off after about 25 mins.Hilarious.
Metallica were just fab.2hrs 20 mins starting with Creeping Death and For Whom the Bell Tolls.
Last songs of the set were Fade to Black.Master of Puppets and Battery.
Six encores ending with One ,Enter Sandman, Whiplash and Seek and Destroy.
I was in heaven great sound lights exposions and a mad crowd a really top top gig.Very sore throat throat the next day.
