Stone Broken Wheatsheaf Oxford 28-10-16

After 3 good support sets from Guns Of Anarchy( think AC/DC and Guns N Roses),Dead Mans Whiskey ( classic rock with big vocals and great guitar solo's) and Tequila Mockingbyrd all the way from Australia who had lots of energy and a great cover of The Beatles Helter Skelter although played nearer the Motley Crue's version!!

A sold out crowd then waited for the UK's finest new band Stone Broken who have blown the doors off with their debut cd All In Time that will feature in many Best Of 2016 lists.

They played all of the debut album and seemed genuinely stunned at the amazing crowd response who knew every word of every song.

Playing an arena rock in a Nickelback vein that kicks some serious ass but that remembers songs need a hook and they have them by the bucket load.

Rich Moss stands centre stage and his huge guitar riffs and excellent vocal range that is always melodic show a star in the waiting.Chris Davis to his right plays some excellent guitar solo's showing a pace but not forgetting the melody needed and ably backed by the rock solid rhythm team of Keiron Conroy on bass and Robyn Haycock on drums.

Wait For You is a ballad of the highest order and after the mid song guitar solo as the band took it down the crowd took over and sang it word perfect. All of the band stood amazed at this response and it was a genuine hairs up on the back of the neck moment.

Not Your Enemy ended an hour of simply top drawer music and the sudden need for a mosh pit broke out as the place went nuts.

Stone Broken are on the verge of greatness with a record deal with Frontiers Records Srl for album number 2 next year and if you can get along to one of their pre Christmas headline shows to say you were there at the start of the next big thing because I will.
