Nickelback Nottingham Arena 13-05-18
First trip to Nottingham Arena and very impressed with sides quite close but steep and a good view for all including 6 back on the floor for us.
First up was Seether who if I'm honest did nothing for me.Down tuned Alice In Chains lite with every song sounding alike. They had an annoying habit of ending each song with a repeat riff playing as they all changed instruments then to come back sounding exactly the same.
Nickelback returned to the UK in support of their Feed The Machine cd that was a pleasing return to form but as you can see from the set list with a few grumbles heard only the title track played.

Nickelback are a state of the art arena band with a stunning light show and sound. This tours stage saw a huge domed shaped screen at the back with more lights than ever before. It's a smorgasbord to the eye with a never ending barrage of delight's.
As ever Chad Kroeger was the amiable host with his near comedy act with guitarist Ryan Peake. After a recent show interlude someone had brought a small pink unicorn on a stick for Ryan that had Chad in hysterics as he realised it made a noise if you squeezed it.
He does go on too much and as ever we could have had a few more songs if he wanted to.
Daniel Adair on drums is a powerhouse with Mike Kroeger on bass an ever smiling presence.
It's hit after hit all rapturously received by the huge crowd with Chad in great voice and the crowd as loud as I have ever heard.
Leader Of Men was a welcome addition as was Side Of A Bullet with horns akimbo for Dimebag Darrell.
Burn It To The Ground exploded the place bringing to an end a great evening short on new but not in entertainment.
