Rainbreakers, a four piece outfit from Shrewsbury, have been hailed as one of the freshest new sounds in the UK blues rock and soul circuit. The band have developed a distinctive sound that embodies a fusion of dynamic musical elements that bridges the gap between Blues, Rock, Pop and Soul.
The band are particularly fascinated with the sounds of the past, ranging from soul melodies and psychedelic sounds to garage-rock riffs and R&B grooves.

"A breath of fresh air on the current UK blues scene" – Blues & Soul Magazine
"Their sound channels the greats of the 60’s and 70’s yet with a modern
twist and a healthy dose of soul. They may hail from Shrewsbury UK but
their groove tells you Austin, Texas"
- National Rock Review
"Loud and attention grabbing… fusing genres into the wild seemingly abandoned… not only endearing it is verging on the magnificent"– Liverpool Sound and Vision

Rise Up, demonstrates the bands progression as song writers and musicians. The songs shift between gritty to delicate in an instant while the melodic and pop-like hooks combined with the raw and garage-esque backdrop, forge an inspiring combination.
The new EP is all about living up to your own potential and being the best version of yourself. The bands song writing and musicality on their second EP reflects this idea and is a culmination of the bands efforts since they started performing live in 2014.
Rainbreakers are:
Ben Edwards – Vocals and Rhythm Guitar
Charlie Richards – Lead Guitar
Peter Adams – Bass
Sam Edwards – Drums

Rise Up - Track by Track
1. On My Own

It’s about the realisation that sometimes it’s better to be on your own than in a destructive relationship. It’s always easy when you first meet someone to have your rose tinted glasses on, but at some point you have to remove the guard and that can reveal a completely different person to the one you thought. The song reflects the moment that you have the realisation and explaining that to your partner. We’ve all been in relationships that we probably shouldn’t have stayed. This song reflects both parties feelings of not being right for one another. The constant push of the main riff throughout the song, forces you to move away from the destructive path and move on.
2. Rise Up

Rise Up is a reflection of what is happening in the world in the aftermath of Brexit, Trump and the divide being created throughout the masses.  We are of the opinion that there is a great pressure to conform and be happy with the world we are given, where as it is our belief that there can always be another choice, it is just whether people decide to act on it. We wanted the song to have some real groove about it to give the song a positive outlook, taking inspiration from one our favourite bands, Pimps of Joy Time. We feel the song solidifies that up beat optimistic vibe while still maintaining the gravitas to convey a very poignant message. We the people make the change. We the people Rise Up.

3. Waiting On You

Waiting on You is the precursor to On My Own the story of a relationship where you are constantly waiting on promises that they will change their ways but never achieving those goals. The song has a very floaty and dream like vibe to it, reflecting the feelings of hope optimism that things can get better when in reality, sometimes things just don’t work. The style of Waiting On You highlights our inspiration drawn from soul music, but the middle 8 in the song brings it back to the our rock and blues roots and also represents the anger and confusion of emotions felt during these times.

4. Perception

This track is all about falling completely in love. We have all been through the bad relationships in life and this song reflects finding someone that makes all those concerns fall away and someone that just makes the everyday easy again. We like to think that this song draws on the musical influence of bands like Monophonics, with a psychedelic soul vibe. Emulating the whirlwind of emotions that are felt during this hypnotic and exciting first discovery.

5. Living Free

The EP ends with a Living Free, a song with a lot to say about the internalisation of feelings and anxiety. The inspiration for this song comes from those little arguments everybody has with themselves and the struggle you feel between two contrasting emotions. The whole song builds from just the drums to an explosion of sounds at the end, giving that feeling of a building tension within your mind and the release that follows when you finally come out the other side
