REVIEW: Robert Jon & The Wreck "One of a Kind" EP

Having recently witnessed Robert Jon & The Wreck live for the first time, and instantly becoming a fan - my task of getting all of their back catalogue and deciding on my favourite track has just become harder as they release a cracking new song on their new four track "One of a Kind" EP.

Out now on all digital platforms via Joe Bonamassa’s Journeyman Records, produced by GRAMMY-Award winners Don Was (Bonnie Raitt, The Stones, John Mayer) and Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Brandi Carlile, Blackberry Smoke, Rival Sons).

The ‘One Of A Kind’ EP showcases how Robert Jon & The Wreck have raised the bar in the Southern Rock genre from the instant rock classic "Come at Me", through to the type of Americana that is reminiscent of Eagles on "Who do you Love" to the glorious straight out roots rock of "Pain No More"

The "One of a Kind" title track is one of those songs that you hear once, and is instantly locked into your psyche, with a radio ready verse, sing-a-long chorus (oh yes - you WILL be singing along) and Henry James' magnificent slide guitar breaks.

It's probably worth mentioning here that the band are touring the UK again later this year - definitely check them out. - you can find all of the details here.

..and if you want to know what I'm talking about ....

If this is the calibre of their new songs, I can't wait for the rest.
