Review Joe Bonamassa's new single "Hope You Realize It (Goodbye Again)"

Joe Bonamassa releases his latest single "Hope You Realize It (Goodbye Again)" from his forthcoming album Blues Deluxe Vol. 2 and it's stellar.

As the track starts we are hit as Joe calls it with The Tower Of Power horns from the word go with Joe add lib soloing and all before the urgent vocal kicks in.

Stunning production from Josh Smith with everything there in your face wanting to be heard but not busy and cluttered and so good to hear Calvin Turner bass driving the song at pace.

The horns fill in any gaps and Joe add lib soloing throughout takes it to another level with Joe's mid song guitar solo is full of picked held notes and delightful in every way.

Song ends with Reese Wynans on keys adding to the majesty and can't wait to see where Joe and his live band take this beauty too on stage.

Blues Deluxe Vol. 2 is a heartfelt tribute from Bonamassa to the roots of his musical journey, breathing fresh life into classic tracks and encapsulating the blues genre's evolution. Out October 6th via J&R Adventures, the album features two new originals, including "Hope You Realize It (Goodbye Again)," and eight new covers spanning some of the most important names in the blues – from Bobby “Blue” Bland to Albert King. Also available for pre-order is the Platinum Edition Box Set (limited to 500 units worldwide), which includes the CD and Vinyl versions for both Vol. 2 and Blues Deluxe Remastered along with exclusive items.
