One day all gigs will be this fantastic.

As I entered the pub I was greeted by Damian who thanked me for coming!!!How cool is that? After he had signed a couple of bits for another fan I asked him about his departure from Threshold and he was very open and honest and said he had recorded all of their new album and was signed up for the tour too before being asked to leave the band.
He wishes them all the best moving forward and hasn't heard the new version yet!!
He then had to go as he was due on.Well in the corner of the pub which held about 25 people!!

It was so good to see songs performed as they were written and Damian conveyed an emotion and passion as each song became a story told with every word clear and concise with a stunningly clear sound too.

Between songs there was story after story of his life from living in a cemetery to living on a barge to his stint with Tony Hadley last year to his drink with Chris Evans at The Ivy.

We laughed we sang along and most importantly we had a ball with a man not afraid to wear his heart on his sleeve and one day every band should be made to play a gig this close and intimate.

Maiden's Evil That Men Do was wonderful with plenty of audience participation and so good to hear recent Radio 2 listed single Thrill Me too.

He was joined on backing vocals by his brother Paul where required and the evening ended with The Mingulay Boat Song and a mass sing along.

Before I left another chat with Damian and he thanked me for coming!!

Simply wonderful and one to bottle and release when needed to make the world a better place.
