Broken Witt Rebels Join Reef on Tour

Rising stars Broken Witt Rebels have been confirmed to tour with Glastonbury rockers Reef; starting in November 2018, they will guest on 21 dates across the UK, preceded by a short European run in October.

Full tour and venue details below.

Having been brought up through the Britpop era of the late ’90s, Reef were always played loud amongst other great British bands in our households, and their new album has been receiving the same kind of treatment! We are honoured to be involved with this tour, and we can guarantee that roofs will be raised on a nightly basis!” – Broken Witt Rebels

Broken Witt Rebels are: Danny Core (vocals), James Tranter (guitar), Luke Davis (bass) and James Dudley (drums). Hailing from Birmingham in the UK (a metropolis with a long, rich musical pedigree), the four are noted for brewing up a heady blend of blues, soulful Americana and wailing rock guitar, all of it served up with deeply emotive vocals.

The award-winning Rebels built their rep through a series of EP releases, starting with the critically acclaimed ‘This Town Belongs To Me 4-tracker in 2014. The Howlin’’ and Georgia Pine EPs followed, the latter featuring both the single ‘Guns’ (the video for which has now clocked up over half a million views!) plus regular set-opener Low (‘Track Of The Week’ on Radio X UK).

Supporting this triple whammy of releases, BWRs hit the road hard, switching between headline shows and high-profile guest appearances. Amongst others, they have shared stages with Joanne Shaw TaylorKaleoWhiskey Myers and The Cadillac Three. The rebellious rocking foursome have also performed at many of Europe’s leading festivals, including Download, Wacken, Stone Free, Reading and Leeds, Isle of WightThe Great Escape and Ramblin’ Man.

In short, Broken Witt Rebels’ star has been very much on the rise!

Crowned ‘Unsigned Rock Band Of The Year’ at 2016’s inaugural Unsigned Music Awards in London, BWRs went on to be signed by the new Snakefarm Records label (a Universal imprint) .

Leaping up to that next level, the band released an eponymous 10-track album co-produced with Tom Gittins (who has worked with living legend Robert Plant). The ‘Broken Witt Rebels’ album combines six songs from the two most recent EPs with four brand new numbers, including lead single/video Wait For You. The earlier tracks have been remastered to allow them to sit comfortably alongside the recent recordings.

Broken Witt Rebels rounded off 2017 with a full headline UK tour in support of the album’s release; they also made an appearance at the Planet Rockstock festival in December as well as completing a full European tour supporting Texan outfit Blue October.

On the radio side, meanwhile, the ‘Loose Change’ single stormed the A-list at Planet Rock Radio, going on to become the most played track on the station.

At the moment, BWRs are preparing to release a new EP on CD & digital, also through Snakefarm Records, on August 10th 2018. The lead track will be latest single, ‘Snake Eyes’, supported by the aforementioned ‘Wait For You’ plus two previously unreleased studio recordings.
