Iron Maiden Leeds Arena 11 May 2017
I always think the support band at large venues have a hard
job engaging the crowd. Shinedown had no such problems, putting in a great
performance that went down well. Highlights for me were Cut The Cord and of
course Second Chance which has been getting lots air time recently on Plant
Rock.
Iron Maiden, a band still at the top of their game, opening
up with a couple of great songs from the Book of Souls album they immediately
had the crowd eating from the palm of their hand. Classics from tonight included Wrathchild, Children
of the Dammed, The Trooper and Powerslave.

Bruce Dickenson was in fine vocal form and seemed to cover
every inch of the stage. Great performance from a fine band. I’m already looking forward to the next time I get to
see this great band play live.
